LEADERSHIP: SIX KEY WORDS

To understand Italian opera, you only need five words - or, so they say.  Here's the list: morte (death), amore (love), maledizione (curse), adio (farewell) and andiamo (let's go).  Supposedly, these will guide you through any romantic tale. 

It’s a high claim.  And, I’d make a similar one for leadership.  Here's my list of six words and, for each, the related Follower Question a leader needs to answer.

This simple list (and a matrix of related Action Areas) is the basis of my V|E|C|T|O|R Leadership^® framework.  Using it, you can develop a personal, one-page Leadership Action Plan.

It's a three-step process: first, identifying the two questions followers would say most need attention; then for each, selecting relevant areas for action; and, finally, defining exactly what you'll do.

It sounds simple.  But leaders and managers, who've used it, say it's increased their leadership traction.  Strategies are implemented faster - and more effectively.  Followers are more committed and enthusiastic.  Why not try it?
